Biography

Allen Greenfield is an author and researcher working at the intersection of UFO studies, esoteric history, and modern myth. Over decades of writing, he’s become known for a distinctive approach to “high strangeness”: he doesn’t treat anomalous reports as isolated curiosities, but as part of a wider cultural ecosystem—where symbols, secrecy, ritual, folklore, and personal experience often overlap in surprising ways.

Greenfield’s work asks a simple but stubborn question: if these experiences repeat across generations, why do the patterns look so much like code—names, signals, motifs, rituals, and recurring “roles” that surface again and again? Rather than reducing the phenomenon to a single explanation, he explores how the strange behaves in the real world: how stories propagate, how belief shapes perception, and how encounters—whatever their ultimate cause—can function as transformative events in people’s lives.

His books include Project Blue Book Declassified, The Secret History of Modern Magick, Secrets of the Real Black Lodge Revealed, Rituals of the 21st Century, The Complete Cypher of the UFOnauts, The Compleat Rite of Memphis, The Grail Within, Saucers and Saucerers, Dr. Randolph’s Secret Elixir, and The Story of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light. Across this bibliography, one thread remains consistent: Greenfield maps the boundarylands where history meets mystery—and where the modern world still leaks the old currents.
